It’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Heaven – The Class of ’58, featuring all the rock ‘n’ roll hits of the era, performed by Shane and his 16-piece band.
A highlight of the show comes with a 20-minute non-stop tribute to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis. Shane and his big band will tell his story through music, tracking his life from Sun Recording Studios through the movie years, the ‘68 comeback special and Vegas before his untimely death in 1977.
Shane – known for his roles on Dancing with the Stars and Shortland Street – is one of the most talented performers to emerge in New Zealand recently. When Shane first unleashed Rock ‘n’ Roll Legends on Whangarei and Auckland, it became an instant hit bringing audiences to their feet yelling for more.
What a lot of people don’t know is Shane has an outstanding pedigree in live rock ‘n’ roll music, having made a name for himself on London’s West End playing Elvis in Elvis the Musical, Ricky Nelson in Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven, Ritchie Valens in Buddy, Pharoah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Rocky in The New Rocky Horror Show.
