It was an important day for Americans…11th September 2006…the 5th anniversary of the attack on the Twin Towers… and also for Kiwi Comedian and Hypnotist Guy Cater. That night he headlined at the famous Riviera Hotel and Casino on the Strip in Las Vegas. He played the Le Bistro Theatre in the Riviera. Just the one night but a lifelong dream came true for Guy. Las Vegas is the Mecca for all performers and Guy achieved it. As a result of this night, Guy was booked to reappear at the Riviera for seven nights in June 2007. He has also performed for large corporate shows at The Las Vegas Hilton and The Palace Station Hotel & Casino off the Strip and was back in Vegas in 2008 performing again at the Riviera plus corporate shows.

In 2006, he left New Zealand fresh on the heels of Hypnotising ex-All Black and ex-Warrior and current television celebrity, Matthew Ridge on TV One’s popular show ‘A Game of Two Halves’ and appearing on TV3’s ‘Pacific Beat Street’ program. On June 10th 2007, he hypnotized many WARRIORS league players at a charity event organised by The Mad Butcher, and both played on the Maori Television channel over three weeks. In September 2008 he did the Warriors again and this made the news on TV3 and Prime as well as full coverage on Maori TV.

Guy truly is New Zealand’s International Comedy Entertainer … last year alone; he performed corporate shows in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Macau in China, Singapore and Bangkok, Thailand and in The Cook Islands.

Each year, with wife Cynthia, he spends six weeks to three months in the USA performing at Grad Nights throughout California and performing at County and State Fairs in Oregon, Iowa, Wyoming and California and in Casinos in Las Vegas… plus Corporate and Comedy Clubs all over.

Guy is a recipient of the sought after BENNY AWARD… Highest accolade given by the Variety Artists Club of New Zealand and has twice won their COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR award… and on 16TH October 2007 he won the AGNEW AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN PERFORMANCE.
